An unusual view of the city. The view of those who can inhabit it from above, within reach of the sky, because they have chosen to live in Solaria, one of the Milan’s tallest residential buildings. A new lifestyle concept; life close to the sky, suspended between air and sunshine.
Centrality and privacy
Standing adjacent to Piazza della Repubblica and Viale della Liberazione, Solaria is strategically located in relation to the new district.
It has been carefully designed to meet residents’ demands for privacy while, at the same time, providing them with the convenient links to the urban fabric that they need.
There are three metro lines within walking distance. Moreover, Solaria overlooks the “Giardini di Porta Nuova” park to the North, and to the South a courtyard garden of 4,000 square metres, linked to Piazza della Repubblica by a pedestrian path.
Life close to the sky
Being one hundred and forty-three metres tall, Solaria has been conceived to give its residents an exclusive view, from the spires of the Duomo to the Alps.
Designed by the Arquitectonica firm of Miami, the building external architecture is composed by three separate wings that meet in a central core, from which natural light radiates out into every floor.
This design strategy means that each apartment has external exposure on three sides, while also delivering a sense of complete privacy.
Space and time meet
The elegance of the main lobby is a contemporary reinterpretation of the prestige of classical residential architecture.
The lifts serving the floors are designed with a technology that cuts waiting times to a minimum, and can carry up to thirteen people.
Solaria’s common areas comprise: day and night conciergerie with latest-generation security systems, car drop-off with direct access to the building’s entrance, reserved mail box area, reserved stroller parking area, bicycle parking area, guest reception and waiting area.
Meeting your expectations
A wide range of sizes and furnishing options: from 70 square metres of compact, functional one-bedroom apartments up to the roomy penthouses and triplexes which can reach 650 square metres. Solaria apartments offer stunning views.
Each room is designed to deliver the right balance of comfort and efficient use of space and favours floods of natural light, the undoubted star feature of every apartment.
The interiors of the apartments, designed by Dolce Vita Homes, meet the latest modern living-space and domotics criteria.
Each residence has large balconies with two floor ceiling height and three metres deep: real gardens in the sky, with an irregular layout designed to protect residents’ privacy.
The parapets are in frosted glass with gradual transparency to ensure safety and privacy without losing the unique views.
Roof gardens with fittings for swimming and hydromassage pools can be created for the exclusive use of duplex and triplex apartment owners.
Designed to make your life easier
Enabling residents to return home in ease and complete comfort is one of the aims the tower’s designers are proud to have achieved.
This has been the core concept in the design of the vehicle and pedestrian routes to the apartments.
If the complex is accessed by car, entrance to the ramps is controlled by number plate recognition cameras; at the same time, a sophisticated surveillance system in the main entrance lobby connects to a closed-circuit TV camera system for the other zones.
For additional security, the pedestrian path from the garage to the house will pass through the conciergerie.
Dolce Vita Homes with Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners and Coima Image worked on the design of the common areas and interiors of Solaria whereas Land planned the landscape of the surroundings.
An excellent group of architects which represents a unique occasion for the achievement of architecture and living style of Milan.
